Private instruction is available for oboe, english horn and breathing techniques as well as workshops in posture/alignment, audition enhancement and breathing techniques.

Intensive studies in yoga and breathwork have led me to teach workshops for professional and amateur performers alike in developing a higher level of body awareness, especially of the breathing mechanism, for performance enhancement and injury prevention.  Some of the most notable places that I have taught for are Old Dominion University, Atlantic Fleet Band, Carnegie-Melon University, Christopher Newport University, American Institute of Musical Studies, to name a few.

My studio is comprised of students that range from beginners, high school students, other professionals, adult amateurs as well as music majors in college and graduate degree programs.  I have helped place the serious music student into such notable schools as Oberlin Conservatory, University of Michigan, Temple University, University of Virginia, George Mason Univeristy, Eastman School of Music, Cincinnati Conservatory, Arizona State University as well as other institutions.

During the summers I host OBOE HOLIDAY, a camp that I have created for developing oboists where they can learn about all aspects of oboe performance in a non-competitive group environment.

My personal goal with my teaching is to help every student figure out how they learn best and to apply themselves in a manner that increases their progress accompanied by a heightened sense of awareness.
